A 7-day Buddhism tour

Day 1: From Paro to Thimphu 

• You will be met in Paro, one of the most picturesque and attractive places in the Himalayas, filled with numerous attractions. The city is situated over 2000 meters above sea level and is renowned for its stunning scenery. 
• After meeting, we will embark on a trip to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital at an altitude of 2320 meters. Along the way, we will stop at Ta-chho Lhakhang, an essential place of worship for bridge builders. 
• Later in the afternoon, we will visit the Buddha Point. If time permits, we will take an introductory walk around the city.

Day 2: Thimphu

• The day starts with an exciting excursion to the renowned Cheri Monastery, one of the most significant monasteries in Thimphu, situated on a hilltop at an impressive altitude of 2850 meters above sea level.
• There is also a famous walking trail in the area, making it a great option to walk here from Thimphu. Our group will also explore other fascinating places like a nunnery, a paper factory, and a traditional school of arts and crafts.

Day 3: From Thimpu to Punakha 

• On the 3rd day of our tour, we will embark on a beautiful walk to Dochula Pass, situated over 3000 meters above sea level. The pass features a complex of memorial rocks and a forest of prayer flags fluttering in the wind. On clear days, you will be able to see the Himalayan range from this point. 
• Next, we will go to Punakha and have a small hike to Chimi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to Lam Drukpa Kuenley. The temple is famous for promoting fertility, and it's believed that divine blessing here can help couples have a child. We will also see the Punakha Suspension bridge, the longest of its kind in the country, measuring over 180 meters in length.

Day 4: From Punakha to Paro 

• Our group will explore Bhutan's ancient and stunning temples, including Kichu Lhakhang, built by King Songtsen Gampo, under whose reign the following were erected 108 temples throughout Tibet. This temple is where the spread of Buddhism in Bhutan began in the 7th century. The complex has two temples: the original and a replica built in 1968 by Ashi Kesang, Queen Mother of Bhutan. 
• We will also visit the only airport in the country, the National Museum, and the beautiful Paro Valley. 
• Our program includes a visit to Ta Dzong, a converted watchtower that now houses a museum with a vast collection of ancient artifacts, including paintings, weapons, armor, fabrics, and household items. Don't miss out on these exciting sights!

Day 5: Taktsang Monastery

• On the 5th day of our tour, we will visit Taktsang Monastery, which is located on a high cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley. The journey there and back will take around 5 hours on foot, so it's essential to prepare with patience and strength. According to the legend, Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress, making this one of Bhutan's most sacred places. 
• To reach the bottom of the ravine, we will descend and ascend 475 steps, crossing a waterfall and small stream. Then, we will climb up 300 more steps to reach the monastery. This is a unique and breathtaking experience not to be missed!

Day 6: Chelela Pass 

• This day, we aim to reach the Chelela Pass, the 2nd highest road point in Bhutan at 3988 meters. It's located in the west of the Paro Valley. 
• The main attraction is the panoramic view of the snow-covered Himalayan Mountain range, including the "Mountain of the Goddess", Mount Jomolhari, standing at 7329 meters. This sacred peak is a must-see to get the best of your Bhutan trip.

Day 7: Departure
